On a mission....

On a mission to find myself again. Studying posts should help. :)

Some skills have been disappearing. Hand knitting shouldn’t be one of them. It’s a beautiful talent which can be totes useful in this time of cheap thih clothing.

My gosh if i had s relative who could do this when I’d study in the East Coast, I’d be forever grateful and wear it.

Not kidding about the latter. I had to wear an Angora sweater I got for Christmas to a cybersecurity expo. My goodness itedusbty compliment me or my age.

When an old director saw the pic, he had to ask what happened. Me: Christmas present from relative. They understood with a little chuckle.

Talk about a long living kind fluffy baby with dropping poops. My sister’s bunny 🐰 lived almost as long as my husky at fifteen. These pets are long term commitments should you care for them well.

Of course keeping them on leash is a good move if you live out in areas that make them prey to some scary predators.

Did I mention that they’re smart? Try going online to find some interactive games and toys for them. They learn to recognize their name and can have some fun personalities.

I’m thankful our cats and dogs didn’t try to turn them into lunch. If anything there was a feel in the home that they’re all family.

You ever feel like you missed a ✅ growing up? Let’s put it this way, the man recording me singing on a tape on my first karaoke experience, didn’t want to change me for the recording.

OMG do you think my cockatiel felt the same way. I played the tape for him so often that I remembered the songs. Maybe I should’ve played and sang while on the piano. Yeah more time on the piano would’ve helped.

Surely I had a keyboard and headset plugged into it in my bedroom. Thing is even the headset couldn’t help when a perfect pitch singer, pianist, and guitarist was happily playing in the living room – not far enough from me.

It’s not going to stop me from singing the basics. At least so I won’t stand out horribly at a party or bar.

As much as I love seeing the personality in fish social circles, leaving them in a boring bowl is too much for me and family to think of.

We put our all in and spoofed them up with medium to then wall length aquariums. All with great decorations and filters. Even a divider when things got out of hand.

Something we didn’t do was give each one their own names based on their habits and personality.

That’s when I suggested to faymily to set up a webcam along the tank so friends and strangers get to enjoy their antics like we do.

The cousins in SE Asia would probably want to go extravagant with Koi fish lining the vestibule’s sides. As beautiful as it sounds, I’d like to stick with basic goldfish for everyone to experience their growth at achievements with us.

They’re right about blindness

The cataracts scare me as they’re run in the family.

What I was hoping to find is something that can show my uncle my type of vision. Maybe I’ll find it elsewhere.

The magnifiers arriving today should be a huge help for going through buckets of medical paperwork. There’s a reason why I read books on a Kindle.

You know you’re getting older when you’re purchasing magnifiers to assist you with reading five print on contracts and medicine. Really, I haven’t opened so much mail because of this.

My uncle is happy with the handheld magnifier with light as he’s totes concerned about the medicine being prescribed to me. Then he’ll also want to take it along to go through his social security documents that they continuously turn him down for – even when seeing his US passport.

Oh the hanging green one is to catch up on my backlog of mail clotting my shelves. It’s funny, when I was younger it was a wall of trophies, degrees, and recognitions.

Enjoy it all while you can and before you become the senior hanging out in the care home with your cliques discussing shows, games, and sports. Think my goal is to not be the old lady bribing kids by handing them honey graham crackers to snoop over my conversation with other old ladies. Never mind that total strangers outside could hear what I’m talking about.

Being the eldest is fun

There’s something about reminding mom that I’m not missing out on a trip to the Caribbean with my siblings because I’m sick. These are things I still remember doing in Hawaii and the SE Asian Islands when I was in grade school.

It’s their turn now. Besides, I got to enjoy ice skating ⛸️ lessons from an Olympian when I was in Jr High. If I complained about that, you’d have to call me an ingrate.

There were other experiences a sister thought she missed out on. Then I reminded her she hated playing sports and wouldn’t be interested in exercising on a military base.

(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ She was a total peach when that sunk in.
